Didymocarpus pedicellatus, an element restricted to the Himalayan ranges, is considered as the source of the Ayurvedic drug, Pashanbhed, a potential herbal for kidney stone and other urinary problems. (Visweswara and Seshadri, 1948; Shah et al; 1972; Bhaskar and Seshadri, 1973; Bhattacharya et al; 1979; Amrit Pal Singh, 2007).
