Telugu: బ్రహ్మ కమలము

Plant is photographed by Dr. Balkar Singh on 15th Aug, 2012 near Hemkund Sahib (about 4000 mts height) Chamoli - Dt. of Uttarakhand. Called as Brahmakamal or Sacred Lotus. This is small herb endangered now blooms from July to September in the Area. State flower of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh

Ayurvedic uses: Roots—antiseptic, styptic, anti-inflammatory. Applied to wounds and cuts. Plant—hypothermic. Flower—CNS active, antiviral. The flowers, after frying, are used in rheumatism
