Uses: Antirheumatic, galactogenic, antileucorrhocic. The leaves contain aescin, quercetin and beta-sitosterol. Stems also contain rutin, astragalin, aesculin. Seeds contain aescin, aesculusideAand B, also aliphatic esters. Seeds possess antiinflammatory activity.
